Globally competent future teachers are needed in our global society. It is instrumental to understand how to better prepare globally competent educators able to successfully teach future global citizens in our increasingly diverse schools. Research suggests that there are no comparative studies performed in the area of teacher preparation for global competencies. The purpose of this research is to determine if there is a relationship between the type of teacher preparation program (traditional and global) and the students’ level of global competency.
