Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Most doctoral programs do not provide candidates with information on publishing, presenting, becoming involved in organizations/affiliations, resources for getting involved in research or scholarly activities, or information on how to survive as a new faculty member. The purpose of this presentation will be twofold: 1) To discuss my own tips for surviving as a new faculty member based on 10 years of experience, and 2) A discussion of how we can add more of a global emphasis to the calling and future service of our new teacher educators.
