Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Idea of culturally responsive practitioners incorporates the understanding and awareness of how culture strongly influences education. By doing so, we, as educators, learn to see the student as a whole and not in fragments. We begin to piece together the connectors that enable or disable learning.
My discussion will highlight 4 components points of overcoming social disparities as a Global Responsive Educator: 1.Identifying the idea of culturally responsive education. 2. Connecting with culturally diverse learners. 3. Connecting with the education support community. 4.How to utilize the components in the classroom.
Workshop attendees will learn how social disparities affect the acquisition of education. By applying the components of a Global Responsive Educator, they can address necessary elements to change and improve the educational advancement of students in the classroom.
