Short Session Description (one line): Join Adventure Kids Learning via SKYPE  (Spring 2012) from Guatemala as they install water systems and connect your students with village students/residents to share water sources and cultures.

 

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Adventure Kids Learning (AKL) has been hosting virtual expeditions annually from Guatemala since 2008. Join them in Spring of 2012 via SKYPE and meet students from the Mayan village where the team is installing water distribution systems or sanitation stations. AKL participants learn of the global water crisis and share their local water sources. AKL classes  also join the expedition wiki to collaborate with all participating locations. Usually centered around the United Nations World Water Day (March 22) AKL provides a global platform to share cultures, awareness and brings us all together with the most basic human right- water.
