Dear all,
I would like to make sure that my text stays in line with the standards of a proposal for the conference. I also would like to know if I can attach to my proposal videos and a power point presentation. I also need guidance for downloading the template.
I am attaching my proposal to that message.
Thanks in advance for reading it.
Best regards.
Safiétou.

Hi Safiétou -
Yes, you can attach videos and a PowerPoint presentation to your proposal. It's not required for your proposal. When you do the actual presentation in the conference platform, Blackboard Collaborate, you can also show your PowerPoint slides and videos to your audience.
The template is not downloadable. You copy the template from the call for proposals instructions, create a new discussion forum post and paste the template into that post. You then fill in the template with your information (you can copy and paste from your Word document) and click Add Discussion to save your work. You can click on the Options button and Edit to change your proposal if needed. Do not post your Word document as your proposal. People will most likely not download it and read it. We want all proposals to be accessible in the manner describe in the call for proposal instructions. Please read this page carefully: http://globaleducation.ning.com/page/call-for-proposals.
If you want to add a PowerPoint file to your proposal, you need to upload it where it says Attach Files. You will see this when you create your discussion forum post or when you edit your proposals. Videos make be too large for uploading it this way. My suggestion is to upload videos to YouTube, copy the embed code from YouTube and paste it into your discussion forum post. To do this, you need to be in the HTML mode (click under the table underneath and to the right of the title). Make sure to save the discussion when you are finished.
Hope this helps,
Lucy Gray
