Also...check out "My Blog" when there. I am trying to shift the paradigm of the "gifted" label. I follow the growth mindset theory and the talent code theory. I belief that all our children have gifts and talents and that it is up to our teaching professionals to help each child discover their hidden gifts.
Some students have an ability to acquire information quickly, some have a deep passion in a special interest, some are kinesthetically advanced...no matter what their talent or gift...we need to stop asking, "Is my child gifted?...but rather..."Are my child's needs being met. The one size fits all TAG programs don't work!
I have also started a Kickstarter project to try and get "computational thinking for all" within the context of computer programming into the K-8 curriculum. Please see my project and consider spreading the word! Please pintrest, facebook, google, and email to all you know. I would really like to get some celebrity sponsors...as they can get a 30 second clip on their most memorable educational moment!
