Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum):

Crescerance is an EdTech startup with the goal of helping schools leverage the power of mobile to better connect and communicate with their parents, students, alumni, staff, and their other constituents. We create and service customized Mobile Solutions for PreK-12 private and public schools based on their specific needs and goals. Through conversations with schools across the country (and now increasingly across the globe) we are envisioning the creation of a Mobile School Network that allows schools to use their own customized mobile applications to not only increase engagement and collaboration among members of their own micro-community, but also to expand collaboration to allow for global participation of students and teachers with Crescerance Mobile Schools across the world.

In our research and pursuit, we have learned that the most prominent impediment to such collaboration has been the lack of a pervasive common thread that ties these micro-communities together in a way that induces engagement beyond geographies, timezones, technologies and cultures. When students and parents already use their school's mobile app for a variety of reasons, working with students/teachers in different cultures through this same app helps global awareness and collaboration occur more naturally. This session will enlighten attendees on our experiences with helping schools across the United States improve their communications through Mobile and will also focus on our vision for global collaboration of these micro-communities through a medium that our global society now uses most: Mobile.
