The session will be about how a national agency in Scotland went about developing a transformational tool for use by schools and educational services. The tool involves setting up strategic conversations about the future of schools and education in whatever local context you find yourself. It does not propose to predict, but to use known trends in a low- tech manner to engender an authentic group discussion. The tool can be used with all stakeholders, parents, students, staff and the community. The tool was developed by educationists along with a global think tank (International Futures Forum). It is being made available to every school in Scotland.
