Short Session Description (one line): Most students dread writing assignments, but this session will show how a new format for writing assignments can actually engage students, making it more fun and beneficial to them.

Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum): One of the most heavily emphasized standards in the Common Core State Standards is for argumentative writing - it even gets a full section of Appendix A, explaining why this type of writing is considered particularly important.  Yet this standard is effectively ignored due to a lack of tools.  This session will present methods for meeting this standard head-on, in a way that actually increases student engagement, leading to assignments that are more fun for students, easier to grade for teachers, and certainly lead to better results where students are performing real, argumentative writing, in a way that encourages true depth of research and critical thinking.
