  • Anyone interested in this sort of language exchange for this year?

I have 30 Spanish I students (ages 14-16) that have just written letters to introduce themselves. Would love to find a partner school/class to respond to my kiddos and practice the language!

Tengo 30 estudiantes de espanol 1 (edades 14-16) quienes acaban de escribir cartas de introduccion. Me gustaria encontrar una escuela o clase de pareja a responder a mis estudiantes y practicar el lenguage!

Feel free to contact me at aotradovec@deforestschools.org if you'd like to connect!  Gracias!
  • Hi Sivina,

I'm an Educational Consultant and an author of adventure stories for middle school students. My interest is in introducing students to the world at large. Some schools in the USA are reading my book, The Kid Who Beat Wall Street and Saved Africa, which takes place on six continents, which raise a whole range of issues from prejudice to peer group pressure, the differences in cultures, and the making of moral decisions-"To what extent does each of us a have a responsibility to care for others?"

I have several schools who would love to be in contact with kids in other countries to dialogue about these big issues. In fact there is a youngster from Argentina in the story.

Please go to my website, www.gingerheller.com and look around. If you have an interest, I'd be happy to put you in touch.

    Best,

    Ginger

  • I would love to work with you. I teach Spanish to 6th graders here in Florida Let me know more details and I'm in.

Also, I love Mystery Skypes if you are interested.

    • Hi Ana,

Great! So we could organize something! They are a little bit older but it is Ok anyway.

The idea would be if you agree:

      - Send each other presentaion letters talking abouth themselves, their families, hobbies, sports they play, etc.

-Organize a skype talk. They could ask questions prepared n advance in English and Spanish because this is a bilingual school.

      - I was  thinking that perhaps they could search for information about Environmental Management and what each country does to take care  the environmet. (If you agree for this we could use a special virtual classroom that  I could create in the web site Taking it Global ( A canadian organization with which I have been working)

Let me know if this is OK fot you. If you have any other idea, let me know. My email is silvhenriksen@gmail.com, please send me your email address, it would be easier if we can communicate by email.

If you have  any other idea, please, let me know.

      Thanks

Looking forward to hearing from you!!

      Best Regards,

      Silvina

  • Hola!

I teach Spanish to grades 9-12 at an independent school in Ellicott City, Maryland, US.  I am very interested in starting a language and culture connection with your students through email and skype.  We also have middle school students and I can connect you with their teacher if you like.  I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Silvina,

Let me know what topics you are considering. I will be working with a group of middle school students in an after-school club during the first semester of the 15-16 school year. We have previously participated in the NAIS Challenge 20/20 project and are now looking for a new global project to participate in.
