Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art (DDFIA) grant recipients discuss their experience working together at the iEARN Conference in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in July 2011.

 

Full Session Description:

The Doris Duke Foundation for the Islamic Arts sponsored a Master Trainer Seminar prior to the iEARN Conference in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in July 2011.  The purpose of the seminar was to prepare teachers to train others to participate in iEARN projects.  The mission of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Arts is to promote the study and understanding of Islamic arts and cultures. Teachers will discuss their experience in participating in the training as well as how it has impacted their students. Four projects were developed to share cultures: Folk Tales, Holiday Card Exchange, Marriage Customs Around the World, and One day in the Life.
