Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
There are a wide range of technological tools & systems that can be utilized by creative teachers to enhance teaching and learning situations. These tools are potentially powerful and enable us to change & reform our education system by making learning interesting, motivating and meaningful to students. In this presentation I'm going to show teachers how to design e-resources & create e-tasks, and how to integrate them to EFL Teaching & Learning.
For EFL Teachers there is a critical problem they often face, It is the lack of authentic practices of language in the classroom, in addition to the lack of interaction and communication using English. Using web 2.0 tools can solve this problem by providing students with online activities and tasks to complement classroom activities and course materials aiming ultimately at increasing students' engagement to achieve the curriculum learning outcomes and promoting their interaction and communication with one another and with their teachers.
Designing EFL e-resources and creating e-tasks for EFL learners is difficult, but integrating them into the classroom is a challenge, so teachers need some help and support to do that. This presentation sheds some light on criteria & principles teachers should consider when developing complementary online materials to use in their EFL teaching practices and include some recommendations for teachers to confront related challenges.
