Short Session Description (one line):
We at Quill believe that learning English by writing is essential for students to thrive in a globalized world.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
In our session, we will detail not only how learning the English language by writing is a useful tool for students around the world, but also how such education should be easily available to those who need it. Since English is a widely spoken language, understanding and communicating formally using the language allows people to connect worldwide. We believe this valuable resource needs to be available to everybody.
By giving students the world over opportunities to learn English (along with other widely spoken languages), they are simultaneously receiving opportunities to connect with people, which we believe gives students leverage to achieve success. This call for widespread English language learning applies to other languages and academic pursuits as well.
Finally, we will identify some problems we have seen as globalized learning is beginning to have a larger presence in modern-day education. We will briefly mention some of the first steps we at Quill have taken to address these problems, and how both students in the US as well as other countries have used Quill to receive the benefits of learning English by writing.

Hi again Paul -
This is not quite what we had in mind with the Education for All strand. I'm having the person in charge of this strand review your proposal. Again, we're not a tech conference, so maybe this isn't a good fit. Stay tuned, and we'll give you some additional feedback.
Thanks,
Lucy
Dear Paul -
Quill sounds interesting and I understand you represent a non-profit group. However, we have a very specific focus for this conference, and that is global collaboration. While we do have a strand called Education for All, this is for proposals that have more of a social justice theme to them as related to the UN's millennium development goals. Unfortunately, we are not solely focused on technology.
if you care to revise your proposal, go to the OPTIONS button to edit. Then, let me know when you'd like me to review it again.
Thanks,

Hello!
Thank you for replying,
We have revised our proposal, including a new take on how Quill can be useful in achieving the UN's millennium development goals. If you'd like to review it again with this newly added section in mind, we'd appreciate your feedback.
Thank you!
-Paul
Hi Paul,
For those of us involved in the efforts to ensure that all young people worldwide get an education, we would be supportive of your proposal if the thrust was primarily looking at literacy and learning globally. Some would question whether an English language learning program is what students in developing countries need when the language is not native to their families and communities. Others would argue that ESL is imperative in a globalized world. If this is a focus of your presentation, how English language learning addresses advancement and education globally, we would be pleased to have your session part of the EFA strand.
Since we are passionate about learning by writing, and want students to be given the same amount of opportunities the world over, we can definitely present our views on how English language instruction serves as a foundation in which students can learn in a globalized world. If you would like us to present our take on why English writing instruction is essential in a globalized learning environment, please let us know.
I think Ed is suggesting that you revise your proposal to make sure this focus is evident. I will approve the proposal for now.
