Folks,
Rachel and I would like to brainstorm with you and seek answers to the following questions:
- is it possible to discuss textbooks, etextbooks in particular, on a global scale. Is it possible to come up with some standards
- how do eTexbooks differ from traditional textbooks? If posting your MS Word syllabus on a CMS does not constitute creating an online class, are we willing to accept the fact that paper-based textbooks are merely mirrored online and jazzed up with some PPT or a quiz.
how do we depart from the Guggenberg-book time and function in the interactive time of the Internet when creating learning materials for students
how do we adjust the new possibilities of multimedia and interactivity for learning materials amid the digital divide between countries, gender, age, race, etc.
