Happiest of new years!
We are from the West Tisbury School, a farming community on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Our multiage classes, 6-8 year olds, are interested in exploring the location, lives, culture and environment of other Island children. So far we have global partners in Fiji, New Zealand, Tasmania, Orkneys, Isley, Japan and Iceland.
Since our partners are in both hemispheres, we have chosen to run this from until June 1
Given the range of technology tools and access, we have created a wiki (IslandsAroundtheWorld) on wikispaces as a universal place to publish our learning and links to shared data. It will be a private wiki unless participants vote to make it public.
All island dwellers from primary schools are welcome.
