Dear GEC Members,

Here’s an update on exciting things happening within the Global Education Conference Network! Take a look and see if there are opportunities of interest to you.

  1. Recipients of the Great Global Challenge Project grants were recently announced. Take a look at their work: http://bit.ly/GGPCgrantees

  2. We had a great meetup at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference. It was fabulous to see many friends of the GEC and to share many resources including a recording and photos of this event. Find out how you can access these, too, by perusing this post: http://bit.ly/GEDsummary.

  3. We are currently looking to refine and improve what we do, and your feedback via this survey is vital: http://bit.ly/GECnetworksurvey. Please take the time to respond!

  4. If you have visited our main conference site recently, you might have noticed that we are working on re-branding and updating information. We have collated basic information about all our events at http://globaledevents.com.

  5. Our next two events are Global Collaboration Day and the 2017 Global Education Conference. Both of these are virtual, online events and are now open for registration.

    1. Register to attend Global Collaboration Day events here.

    2. Directions for proposing a Global Collaboration Day event are located here.

    3. Register to attend the Global Education Conference here.

    4. Submit a proposal to present at the Global Education Conference

We are gearing up for new conference year, and we seek help in order to continue offering free professional development events focused on global education. To sustain this model, we rely on forward-thinking companies and organizations for support. In return, we offer authentic opportunities to engage within our network of over 25,000 global educators from 180+ countries. If you work with a company or non-profit that would like to sponsor GlobalEd Events, please contact Steve Hargadon at hargadon.com for more details.

Also, we are seeking to partner with organizations to host new Global Education Days and Global Leadership Summits in conjunction with other conferences. As we mentioned at ISTE, we will be hosting a Global Leadership Summit at the ASCD conference in Boston next March, and this partnership is a great strategy for us to bring more leaders into the global education movement. It will serve as another opportunity for corporate, organization and education leaders to work together to foster globally connected teaching and learning. Again, email Steve for additional information if you would like to learn more.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and thanks for reading this news blast!
