Greetings Teachers and Administrators:

We want to work with teachers from the US and around the world.

Kids Talk Radio is an international news service.  Our students and teachers create audio and video podcasts, print articles and Super School Math Casts for Kids Talk Radio, Super School Teen TV, Super School Press and Youth World News.  We are involved in international project based learning.  Example: The Cabo Verde Tenth Island Project is an enhanced STEM Program.  Our students report the news in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, the arts, and foreign languages.  We base our work on the uninhabited island of Santa Luzia, Cabo Verde.   We create student backpack journalists teams with one teacher and five students. Our goal is to work as a collaborative team and to create the worlds most perfect virtual island.  There is much more to this story. Visit:   http://www.KidsTalkRadioUSA.com.

We are looking to expand.  Our goal is to establish Kids Talk Radio Stations in 34 countries around the world and to work on international projects that will make this world a better place  We train student backpack journalists and teacher through distance learning.  Teachers are provided with ePortfolios, lesson planners, Journalist in a Box Software and cloud technology tools.

  • Hi Bob,

I am very interested in learning how our school (Graded - The American School of Sao Paulo) could specifically get involved with your project. I am the elementary tech coordinator at Graded and I am sure that our Portuguese teachers would love to participate in some way. I have looked over the project site but I am not sure about the specific components of the project and timeline.

    • Greetings Jennifer:

We have a three year timeline.  In year three we plan on taking selected teachers and students to Cape Verde for an international conference.  In addition, your students will have opportunities to publish their work on Kids Talk Radio, Super School Teen TV, Super School Press and Youth World News.  Keep asking questions and I will provide you with more answers.

      All the best from America.

  • What I have to offer is a bit off the beaten path. ahaafoundation.org is an online course which teaches the history of art and architecture. I taught online for the University of Phoenix so I have had online experience.

One of my thought is that students could have some information about what happened long, long ago in their backpacks.

    • Greetings Katherine:

Do you have an information on the early history of the Cabo Verde Islands?  This is something that would help my teachers and student backpack journalists.  Thank you for the e-mail and phone number.  I am always looking for ways to connect teachers.  I will check this site more often.  My direct e-mail is Suprschool@aol.com.
