Short Session Description (one line): I intend to present one of the most successful programs I have implemented in my school: English Access Microscholarship Program.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like): The implementation of the English Access Microscholarship Program in my school, a project having as target group economically disadvantaged but bright students, has meant enhanced language learning and culture sharing. By the help of the ICT, and the innovative teaching methods, students learn English in an interactive way, through communication, through action, as they do things in the target language, through getting in touch with other people of the same age who have similar interests. All these mean that our Access students have developed the critical thinking, learned or improved some 21st century skills, and they are more motivated and interested in learning English. During my presentation I want to share the background of the Access program, as well as some projects and activities we have produced so far. Finally, I will present some digital tools that can help us integrate technology in an easy and user-friendly way, so that the English classes may become more interesting and motivating for students.
