100 years of Marshall McLuhan:
Global village between theory and reality
On the occasion of Centenary of birth of the influential world media figure, Marshal McLuhan, (born on July 21, 1911), Italian media center “Osservatorio Tutti Media”, the “Media Education Centre-Belgrade”, the “International Youth Media Summit” and the “Global Media Literacy Network” are organizing a series of International events.
“The medium is the message, shape the future” represents a workshop which is going to take place in Belgrade between july 24th and August 12th 2011, organized by Miomir Rajcevic, head of Media Education Centre and International Youth Media Summit.
The organization of the above mentioned workshop represents an important occasion on international level for “Osservatorio tutti Media” where Ms. Marina Lalovic is responsible for the project’s organization.
The purpose of the workshop, dedicated to the celebration of Centenary of McLuhan's birth, is to involve the university students of media (journalism, languages, political sciences and all the universities which could be interested on the issue) to significant discussions with the important media representatives.
- How the McLuhan's theories on media have predicted the future of the current communication system?
- What is the most relevant McLuhan's theory?
- What are the consequences of the constant irrepressible media evolution?
looking forward for your applications, proposals, suggestions...
