Short Session Description (one line): On the anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy, join Gabby Giffords in calling our nation's students to action in making their schools and communities safer through a collaborative lesson on UClass.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Our nations youngest citizens were effected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook last year. With gun reform being tackled by the politicians that shape their future, a collaborative lesson is being offered to guide students to add their voice to the conversation. Gabby Giffords with Americans for Responsible Solutions and Sandy Hook Promise have co-authored a lesson with elementary school teachers which will be hosted on UClass a global lesson exchange. Students will share their ideas for making their communities and schools safer. Participating schools will be able to share their thoughts and ideas with one another.
Join UClass founders to learn how to use this lesson as an opportunity to help your students create hope out of tragedy and to become an active part of shaping their world.
