Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Mission:Explore is a free web service which includes lots of creative and curious challenges for children to attempt. By doing and reporting on missions (activities) children can collect points and earn badges.

Challenges on Mission:Explore can be used within school linking projects as a lose unit of work and a source of inspiration for comparing and contrasting places, cultures and issues. Children who use the site are asked to consider issues including sustainability, consumption and social responsibility while using a range of creative skills.

Missions on the site include: Award a sustainable business, Be nature's advocate, Bird prejudice, Walk your ecological footprint and ID a problem.

School linking projects are often challenging to organise. Mission:Explore can be used to help manage expectations, set clear targets and to inspire children.

In this session you will discover how to best use the platform and have the opportunity to meet other practitioners that may want to work jointly with you on a project.

Before I can review this for acceptance, I need to know whether or not this is a commercial proposal... please let me know if you are with a for profit or non-profit entity.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your submission to present at the 2011 Global Education Conference. Your proposal looks promising, but could benefit from some additional language that ties your work to the conference theme of global collaboration. The conference seeks to present ideas, examples and initiatives related to connecting educators and classrooms around the world with an emphasis on promoting global awareness and instilling global competency in students. This is not a general education conference nor a technology conference. Please review your submission and adjust accordingly, so that participants clearly understand how your work fits into the mission of the conference.
    • Hi Lucy,

      Thank you very much.

Does this look stronger to you now?

Looks better! Are you part of a non-profit?
