The European union funded CLOHE (moving toys) education project is an amazing project that is using Automata as a tool for primary student’s learning across a range of competences and subject areas including comprehension, mechanics, handicrafts, maths, arts and creativity. Children also learn to make plans, work collaboratively and interpret a text creatively.
The projects is now available to be replicated in your class, resources are available on the project website http://www.clohe-movingtoys.eu/
You can share your students’ automata on the CLOHE wiki at: http://moving-toys-in-the-classroom.wikispaces.com/ You need to register and request a page.
