Officers of a state chapter will share their experiences and tactics for finding creative and manageable ways to market and fund a state chapter. This information will enable other multicultural educators to be heard and to serve the needs of students, families, caregivers, community activists, and advocates. The speakers will begin with an overview of their roles in the organization, reveal the benefits of using social media, highlight the advantages of partnering with like-minded state and local organizations for political influence, and will disclose practical considerations pertinent to the administration of a state chapter. Participants in this session will also become informed of and learn how to avoid the difficulties when administering a state organization.
