Hi All,
I am looking to collaborate with educators and education advocate from all over the world to improve our education standards here in Nepal. Luckily for us that we do not have a robust national system/standards, we have the opportunities to borrow from our colleagues from all over the world.
We are trying to focus on education that will empower our youths to have the future that may not be driven by consumerism and middle class aspirations of the industrialized nations. We want to create citizens that are socially responsible, healthy and focused on internal growth as well as outward success as a result of new found access to quality education. We have so many areas where we could improve upon and it is our mission to bring a different kind of change and progress in Nepal through innovative education. If you would like to find out more, please contact me.

Hello Anup,
I am curious to know what exactly you have in mind - would it be a collaboration effort or a Skype discussion, for example?
We are trying to improve teaching in Nepal. Most of our influences comes from either India or USA. We want to educate our children in a way where they are aware of the whole world and issues not only about becoming successfully but being happy and helpful to one another. We want our students/teachers to have collaboration with students/teachers from all over the world and share our common stories.
Things like Pen Pal/collective learning, understanding one another is what we are looking for.
I am not sure how to go about it.
Anup,
Seeing that your curriculum is flexible, you could adopt a Project-based learning approach, i.e. have students work around projects to develop skills and promote learning.
What age groups do you work with?
One idea would be to think of a social issue that affects them and investigate if students from other countries face the same problem. This problem could be discussed on a blog or w iki
Another idea would be to share learning diaries - students are paired up and talk about their day at school for their partner to read
