Noticing Tools - Watch how they work in a global classroom
Short Session Description (one line):
Learn how NY Hall of Science Noticing Tools can be used in classrooms for global investigations
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
How can students be active participants in their learning and use the world around them to build STEM understanding? Noticing Tools are a suite of mobile apps and instructional supports that engage students in real-world investigations, enabling them to make math and science discoveries in the context of compelling design projects. Integrating these tools into interdisciplinary investigations provides opportunities for educators to more effectively connect STEM learning to global ideas and concepts. Anywhere you can capture a photo or record data you can uncover the science and math phenomena that are happening in our global communities. Through this interactive session participants will learn more about the tools, see how they have been used in K-12 classrooms and discuss strategies to integrate them into global explorations.
