Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
During 30 years of infusing global perspectives into university campuses, schools, and communities – and due to an eclectic career that puts me in many loops -- I have shared unique, “well-kept secret” resources and opportunities. To paraphrase the typical recipient response, “Wow, that’s excellent! I never knew it existed.” The gold nuggets include contests and scholarships for students, curricular tools and professional development opportunities for educators, articles, organizations and NGOs, webinars, informational websites, and much more. Sometimes things that are just plain fun and interesting, for those of us into cultural and global topics. Information is indeed power, in this case the power to utilize, learn from, pursue and apply, share with students, and so on. Join us as we tour through some great examples. We will also discuss creative use of the gold nuggets and intuitive ways to go digging for others.
