The presenter will look at US school districts as well as high performing school systems abroad where union leaders and school officials all share a common commitment to labor/management collaboration.  At these school, responsibility for student success is shared—together, teachers and administrators celebrate what works and identify areas that need improvement. The result has been improved academic performance across socio-economic divides, increased parent engagement, and more resilient communities.
