Short Session Description (one line):  Experience and reflect on a piece of the Global Competence Certificate program course on Poverty, which demonstrates building global competencies like humility and the ability to engage with complex issues.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like):  The GCC is an online graduate level program for K-12 teachers across all levels and subjects.  The program helps participants build their own global competence, models global competence instruction methodologies, and teaches participants how to teach for global competence in their classrooms.  In this session you’ll participate in some of the activities used in the GCC course about Poverty.  You will experience the student perspective in these activities as well as discuss (with a GCC instructor and instructional designer) how these activities and the program overall were constructed to successfully teach for global competence.
