Short Session Description (one line): Invitation to a small focus group about using Google+ Hangouts in Education
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
We all have lots of options to learn about all kinds of new tools and technology, use them (or try to use them) and sometimes share our experience with others. But for some people this cycle can be overwhelming and many don’t even know where to start, what to learn, how/where to present or share. In this session I’ll be talking about a specific tool that I have a lot of experience with: Google+ Hangouts and Hangouts On Air. I’ll provide a quick demonstration of how it works and give examples of uses in education. Then I will invite people to participate in a small focus group where they will, in the course of 6 to 8 months, be able to:
Prepare: Get ready to use Google+ Hangouts, find resources to learn more about them, get comfortable using them and ask all the questions they need.
Practice: Think of practical applications for their situation and practice in a safe and private environment with the help, support and feedback from peers.
Produce: Produce content and implement idea(s) using Google+ Hangouts
and
Present: Create a way to share the experience with other teachers, e.g.: a slide presentation, a video, an online interview or a presentation at an online conference such as GLOBALEDCON!
The aim of this presentation and project is to foster collaboration and connection between educators around the world. The focus group will provide an opportunity for teachers from different backgrounds, levels of experience and location to work together in a small, safe environment to help each other with their project or start joint project therefore promoting global collaboration
The information provided in this session (and the focus group) can be used for projects to connect classrooms with other classrooms (or educators, experts, etc.) anywhere in the world.

Can you tie your proposals to the mission of the conference a bit more? Need to see more language on global collaboration and connections...
