Twitter has time and again been cited as the best free PD tool available for teachers. That assertion has come to prove for five driven educators who happened to meet via Twitter and decided to launch a chat to help new teachers who came on to the Twitterverse and wanted to build their PLN and globally connect.
The chat has become a weekly calendar event and has helped new and more seasoned teachers to Twitter to …
- Become globally competent
- Identify tips, tools and tricks for connecting classrooms
- Go beyond token global efforts in order to promote deeper learning
- Develop PLNs with other leaders in order to learn about best practices
The session will look at how the chat has made global education waves by looking at accounts/testimonials from participants and co-moderators while trying to come to terms with an unassuming project took shape the way it has been taking.
