An interdisciplinary method of utilizing Visual QR Codes as a platform to showcase student work in the K-12 classroom
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
I have developed an interdisciplinary method of utilizing Visual QR Codes as a platform to showcase student work in the K-12 classroom. QR Code is short for Quick Response Code and is commonly used in mass marketing to share web-based content and track inventory and customer interactions. QR codes are commonly posted on products or labels and scanned with camera-enabled devices like smart phones and tablets. Visual QR codes are an evolution of the standard black and white pixel-based codes and can be used in the K-12 classroom to share digital works and resources with students and stakeholders. Visual QR codes offer an aesthetically pleasing and customizable code-embedded image that encourages students to access and share web-based and digital content with others.
During this session, I will present the basic concept and frameworks for implementing visual QR codes, highlight best practices for educational QR coding, and demonstrate how to create visual QR codes for students. I will present that visual QR codes are an innovative vehicle for sharing and engaging in digital content in the classroom.
