Literacy education in the age of information raises a question within the globalization, that is: how to transform biliteracy to multiliteracies in order to meet the updated technologies and face the increased cultural and linguistic diversities. This presentation aims at reading the world in an information age and explores the understanding and development of multiliteracies, including:

The changes of social environment;

The challenges of literacy education;

The development of new technology, new literacy and new learning;

The transformation from biliteracy to multiliteracies.
