Short Session Description (one line): The general, core, "meta" level curriculum has not been rethought in over 100 years, and in the dramatic changes we have faced, the time has never been more critical; CCR is a international NGO in the process of redesigning the core curriculum from the ground-up, and we want your input.
Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum): The mission of the Center for Curriculum Redesign (CCR) is to answer this timely question, and openly propagate its recommendations and frameworks on a worldwide basis. The CCR brings together non-governmental organizations, jurisdictions, academic institutions, corporations, and non-profit organizations including foundations.
The last major changes to curriculum were effected in the late 1800’s as a response to the sudden growth in societal and human capital needs. As the world of the 21st century bears little resemblance to that of the 19th century, education curricula need to be deeply redesigned for the full triad of Knowledge, Skills, and Character, and keeping in the forefront the Meta-layer/fourth dimension of: learning how to learn, interdisciplinarity, etc. Adapting to 21st century needs means revisiting each dimension and the interplay between them.
A key part of this process is getting as much input as possible from all stakeholders. In this session, we will share out on the nature of the work, current updates from the process, and how YOU can share your thoughts on what should be included in a 21st Century curriculum.

Is it possible for you to tie into the mission a bit more? Just let us know how the global community can participate or about any international implications.
