Greetings.
I am a doctoral student enrolled in North Carolina State University's (USA) Adult Education, Training & Development (Communication minor) program and I am scheduled to defend my dissertation proposal in early April. I am searching for a higher education online course offered over the summer months that historically attracts a multinational and multilingual student pool.
My study is titled, “On Being Seen and Heard: Exploring the Relationship Between Social Presence and Webcam Use in the Multicultural Online Learning Environment.” The study is a qualitative look at how webcams impact perceived levels of social presence, and how they affect linguistic and cultural barriers that exist in the multicultural online learning environment.
Please get in touch if you have a course that seems to meet my research requirements and would be open to participating as a site facilitator for my doctoral research.
On a side note, I have experience working in higher education as Director of Distance Learning, and currently work for a corporation as an Instructional Systems Designer. As such, I am more than happy to provide webcams and related training/support to all research participants as needed.
Thanks very much for your consideration.
