Participatory dialogue about how to bring international films to global audiences, in classrooms and diverse communities around the world 


Full Session Description (as long as you would like): 

Susannah Wheelwright, former Grade 6 World Geography teacher, will moderate the participatory discussion and question and answer session.  Andrew Mudge, filmmaker, will share his experience filming in communities in Lesotho, working with local youth and South African and Basotho actors.  He will describe the global cultural connections he has fostered, including free public film showings in urban communities in South Africa and rural areas in Lesotho.  Participants in this session will be encouraged to ask questions and brainstorm ideas about how to share international films globally, foster global connections and cultural awareness through media and film, and support teachers and classrooms in their explorations of international films.
