Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
The online classroom is very different from the face to face classroom. Through the many student summits through the Flat Classroom, NetGenEd and Digiteen projects, we've found that there are some small powerful steps for creating an engaging meeting. Here, Vicki Davis will share the steps she uses to teach her students about online classrooms both as a participant and a presenter.
Using the Entrance, Engage, Exit process for each, learn the things that can be done to excite your room, engage learners, and create action so that learners are ready when it is time to have the next session.
Online learning and presenting is markedly different from face to face and it is time to start talking about best practices in online classrooms. The best classrooms are blended and give students experience presenting in online spaces even if they are located in a face to face environment. See the trends behind the need for this and how to teach it to your students.
