SKYPE buddies needed in 3rd, 4th, 5th grades

SKYPE classroom buddies needed for ALL of my 3rd 4th 5th grade teachers,... math, lit circles, and science sharing....we are also doing a cooking theme this year with the kids...looking for schools around the world interested in sharing cooking ideas and discussions of local vegetables. Reply back if interested. We are in California and in the Pacific Standard Time Zone.

Hi Lori,
I work at a school in NYC, and am just moving from 4th to 5th grade. I am interested in lit circles and sharing maths projects and investigations, and I can talk to our science teacher and see if he wants to do some science sharing too. We are studying ancient civilizations and cultures.

Hi Lori,
Once the year gets going (mid-October?) my 3rd grade class could start with lit circles and take it from there. We do a lot of projects and collaboration already so I don't want to promise more than that for now. I know at least one other 3rd grade teacher on my team would also like to start with lit circles, and I can check with the other two.
We are in Connecticut, 3 hours ahead.

This sounds really great! I work with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms - Mac based, 1 to 1 laptop private school in Memphis, TN. I will see if I can interest any of my teachers, and see if there is a cooking class this year for the boys.
