Connecting US teachers and learners to collaborate with peers in India is hard. As the two countries are almost on opposite parts of the globe, students in one country will be asleep when their peers are in a lesson abroad.

Media in India has over hyped the dangers of the net so much that teachers in India are reluctant to introduce school students to Internet. They cannot afford bad press.

WikiEducators in India, teachers and educated stay at home mothers, connect their children with children abroad under the watchful eyes of other family members. They solve the time conflict issue in connecting classrooms; connect from homes!

Connecting families, teachers in India cooperatively learn the Duolingo way. They connect clubs and associations, NGO's etc. to get people to connect classrooms from homes.

They use Wikis, blogs, and all social software to help families safeguard children from the dangers of the net. They learn together each others' heritage. Senior citizens are connected with young students to alleviate social isolation of seniors. Social NEtworking HOMes is abbreviated as SNEHOM.

Snehom means love, in Sanskrit. As mothers they know: snehom makes the world go round
