Teach your students to become active, global citizens through our curated bank of social impact close reading and argumentative writing lessons.
ThinkCERCA's Social Impact Challenge is an initiative that encourages students to use their critical thinking skills to solve real-world problems. Teachers are equipped with lessons to introduce social impact through close reading and argumentative writing. These lessons encourage students to learn about the social entrepreneurs, organizations, and ideas having a positive impact on society through real-world stories provided by our partners and other authentic sources, and reflect our focus on collaboration, literacy, technology, society, and culture. Through these lessons, which rest upon our CERCA Framework, students will build the skills necessary to recognize, analyze, and solve problems in their own communities.
Students have the opportunity pitch their ideas and receive feedback from social entrepreneurs. We’ve partnered with great organizations, like the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), Unreasonable.is, Impact Engine, and Global Good Fund.
