The main purpose of the class project was to teach students how to work to make life better in their community, through positive social action, by developing further skills like promoting intercultural dialogue and community-led social development
I would like to share this experience with other teachers of how we can have motivated students to reach out the community to develop social projects and how this journey brought them lots of experience, understanding and knowledge about themselves, their capabilities and the ones of others around them. The project really helped the students to work on their resilience and in their problem solving skills and how to overcome problems and set backs
Also it was a challenge for me to leave the traditional classroom setting and to be a guide in this process, and achieve student-centered learning by allowing students to make their own decisions and how is necessary to change owns leadership style from directive to consultative
