Short Session Description (one line): This will tackle how the field of sports is in fact a gold mine of teaching techniques and practices that can be applied both inside and outside the classroom.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
There is a long-standing stereotype of sports being and activity that engages your physical capacities and capabilities. However, our team recognizes that sports can beyond honing just our physical strengths. We have found that mental growth is a recurring theme in all the major sports activities. Not only that, the values you inevitably learn and apply out in the field are values often incapable of being taught in a regular classroom setting. As such, we have entitled our session "Sports as the Holistic Educator" because we believe that sports branches out to multiple learning objectives, thus being a holistic educator.
