Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Discover how students can investigate culture as anthropologists or sociologists would by using their mobile device in the classroom. Experience through numerous activities how in this student-centered approach to culture, students in middle and high school can do cultural analysis, understand connections and differences within a culture, and find similarities by using their mobile device to bring authentic culture into the class Students come to understand the culture through their own analysis, not the teacher's presentation. Can easily implement these techniques in your classroom.

Bio: Dr. Harry Tuttle has taught Spanish from 6th grade through college. His doctorate was on teaching culture with Dr. Papalia as his advisor. He has spoken at ACTFL, ISTE and other international conferences. His recent international presentations focus on exploring culture through mobile devices.
