The Sustainability Education Summer Institute 2011 will be held July 25-27, 2011 at IslandWood in Seattle, USA. SESI is a rich and vibrant opportunity for K-12 teachers and administrators and teacher education faculty and administrators to deepen their knowledge of education for sustainability (EfS) and apply it to their schools and programs.
We’re currently soliciting proposals for sessions to fit within the following themes:
- Introduction to Sustainability Education
- Curriculum Integration: How to Bring Sustainability into the Classroom in a Real Way
- Connecting Community & Education: Closing the Loop with the Neighborhood
- Sustainability Education and Systems Thinking
Full descriptions of these themes are available on the web at: http://islandwood.org/sesi
If you are interested in leading a session that would help other educators further understand these areas, head over to the website and click on the “Request for Proposals” link on the left.
