Full Session Description:
As more schools are teaching about China and introducing Chinese language classes, educators are evaluating the opportunities for travel to China to expose their students to genuine experiences in the culture. This session will discuss the value of various travel options and provide models of what others have done with study tours, exchange partnerships, and service learning programs. Hear about issues educators have faced in organizing student travel programs and learn how they handled them. Share what you are planning or have done and learn how to improve educational outcomes. This session is for both those who have never taken students abroad and want to learn about why and how and for those who are experienced and want to share experiences and improve future programs.
