We are looking for Educators that may be interested in sharing a skill, conducting a workshop or seminar during the Summer of 2009 in Ghana.
Teachers will spend at least two weeks working with Ghanaian Elementary and Middle School Teachers on the following topics:
a.) How to Develop Lesson Plans that engage students ( Science, ELA, Math, Technology or Public Speaking)
b.) How to Develop Units or Thematic Units
c.) How to Use Manipulatives in the Classroom
d.) How to integrate Pen Pal programs into ELA classes
e.) How to Design Classrooms with Learning Stations
f.) How to Design Bulletin Boards
g) How to Organize Poetry Workshop for students

I am very intersted in working with you. I have visited and lived in Ghana in the past (GIS alum) and used to work at the British School of Lome iin Togo.
I have done alot of work on integrating globlaisation and solcial justice themes into the classroom and am working on developing more modules to help teachears use a globlaisation lens when assessing their practice.
