Meet Our Presenters
Richard Colosi is a Content Creator and Instructional Technology Specialist from Rochester, NY. Since beginning his education career 17 years ago, he has established himself as an effective leader within instructional technology by creating and sharing effective integration practices to maximize student learning. He's been a featured presenter at numerous school districts and conferences and has worked as a consultant with the United States Department of Education's Office of Innovation and Improvement. Richard is also an Apple Distinguished Educator and has been profiled on local television and in print media, including The Wall Street Journal and The American Teacher. Emory Craig brings extensive experience in K12, higher education, and the creative industries for fostering innovation and organizational change. In his most recent position as Director of eLearning and Interim CIO at the College of New Rochelle, he implemented leading-edge technologies in the curriculum and new online programs for traditional and nontraditional students. He has worked with the United Nations and organizations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia to reinvent learning and spark creative transformation. In 2017-2018, he coauthored the EDUCAUSE-ELI series: VR and AR: Stepping into the New Frontier of Learning. He contributed to the groundbreaking work by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to develop recommendations and policy guidelines for using AI in the European Union and OECD member countries. Emory is the co-founder and CEO of Digital Bodies, a popular website, and international consulting group assisting organizations in implementing and using immersive technologies and AI platforms. A visionary leader in emerging technologies, he concentrates on the personal skills and organizational strategies needed to thrive in an era of sweeping digital transformation. His life's work aims to help us excel in a future where virtual experiences are available on demand, and we partner with AI to extend our intelligence, creativity, and imagination. Emory is an Innovator in Residence at Arizona State University for the ShapingEDU project on the future of learning and is actively involved in the New York City startup community.
Lucy Gray is an accomplished educational innovation consultant who has worked with diverse clients, including schools, organizations, and corporations. With years of experience, Lucy has developed strategic plans and content for companies, provided professional development coaching to school districts, and presented at numerous international conferences. Before entering the consulting world, Lucy worked as an elementary school teacher in Chicago Public Schools and as a middle school computer science teacher at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Her expertise extends to her work at the University of Chicago’s Urban Education Institute and the Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education. Most recently, she served as the Director of Educational Technology at North Shore Country Day School. Lucy co-founded the Global Education Conference Network and has recently reenvisioned it as Actionable Innovations Global. This professional learning community connects and empowers education-focused professionals through international professional learning and networking opportunities. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Innovator, and ISTE’s Making It Happen award.
Bea Leiderman is an independent consultant with over two decades of experience in teaching and instructional coaching across various educational institutions. Bea specializes in long-term creative student projects, focusing on student creativity and collaboration.
Tammy Lind s an Instructional Coach in Southeastern Wisconsin. She is a Google Education Trainer, a Google Certified Innovator, and a Seesaw Ambassador. Tammy is a former special education teacher passionate about finding web-based technologies to make the curriculum accessible to ALL learners. As the founding member of the Southeast Wisconsin Google Educator Group and the Southeast Wisconsin Instructional Coaching Network, Tammy is a leader in her school district and the educational community. As a result of that leadership, in 2017, Tammy received the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) “Making IT Happen” award. She has presented at national conferences on using technology to “level the playing field” for our kids. She loves to network with educators interested in integrating technology into our classrooms. Donnie Piercey is the 2021 Kentucky Teacher of the Year and teaches fifth grade in Lexington, Kentucky. After graduating from Asbury College and earning his master’s from Auburn Montgomery, he has taught in Kentucky since 2007. Donnie uses technology to promote student inquiry, learning, and engagement. Over the past seventeen years of teaching, these interests have given him a unique chance to represent Kentucky and his students around the world. He runs a podcast called Teachers Passing Notes, produced by the Peabody Award-winning company GZMShows. He was the recipient of a National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship to Antarctica, and he also represents Kentucky on the inaugural National Geographic Teacher Advisory Council. He is the North American lead for the Google Earth Education Experts Network, and he was the first teacher in Kentucky to become both a Google Certified Innovator and a Google Certified Trainer. Donnie's recent work in AI and Edu has not gone unnoticed, earning him multiple appearances on Good Morning America, the Associated Press, and PBS. His upcoming book, "50 Strategies for Using AI in the Classroom," published by Teacher Created Materials, is written for educators looking for practical classroom approaches to using AI to revolutionize their teaching methods and enrich their students' learning experiences. Donnie has been invited to keynote and present at schools in thirty-three states and five continents. In 2017, he co-authored The Google Cardboard Book: Explore, Engage, and Educate with Virtual Reality based on virtual experiences he created for his students. However, the Bluegrass always calls him home, and he regularly leads professional development at school districts around the state.
Julene Reed is an international consultant, presenter, researcher, instructional designer, instructional coach, and education author with over twenty–five years of experience in K-12 education. Julene holds a doctorate in educational leadership with a focus on global education. She is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Apple Teacher, Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator, Google Earth Education Expert, Adobe Certified Educator, Adobe Certified Educator, and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Trainer. Julene has traveled globally as an Advisory Council member of Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots and Polar Bears International’s Tundra Connections program. Julene has recently led webinars and multiple events on using generative AI and ChatGPT (and other chatbots) in education, focusing on how these technologies can provide innovative strategies for teaching and learning and streamline workflows. Maximizing the application and use of AI and ChatGPT, navigating the benefits and concerns for these technologies (including copyright and ethics), building digital citizenship and digital literacy skills, and assuring our students are prepared for today’s world and their futures are all essential topics that are relevant in her work with generative AI. Julene is an adjunct professor in Lamar University’s Digital Learning and Leading program and a co-instructor with Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College. She is currently developing graduate courses for Abilene Christian University, Dallas.
