It will also showcase GatherEducation’s technology, a virtual learning platform that allows instructors to host classes online without changing their teaching style. GatherEducation utilizes the Microsoft Kinect to create an immersive learning environment, which makes it easy and natural for an instructor to teach a class online. Studies have shown that immersive learning environments positively affect student learning and engagement. After viewing a demo, participants will engage in an interactive discussion about online learning and the best way to utilize technology.
