Short Session Description (one line): The Olympic Games 2012, working collaboratively in a globalize world to develop cultural awareness: Connecting Classroom programme.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

This testimonial session will explore how we, educators, can benefit from the use of Information Communication Technologies to work collaboratively. I will be sharing a project that I carried out with my Argentinean students and a group of students from England, as part of Connecting Classroom programme.

The core of the project was the Olympic games, and the value and meaning of the Olympic Mascots. During six weeks we worked simultaneously and shared different activities which lead to the final outcome that was to design a mascot that represented each school.

At the end of this project learners were able to gain awareness of the wider world, learn about other cultures, and accept cultural differences

I will be sharing with you the different activities that were carried out, links and  tools that were used, and ideas on how easily you can design simliar projects.

    Hi Balda -

I think your proposal could benefit from additional details. More information will drive attendees to your session when the conference starts.  Can you elaborate on your project a bit more in the full session description? Let me know when you've edited your proposal and I will review it again as it sounds like a great topic for this conference.
