The Power of Women’s and Girls’ Voices for Education Policy Change: Part II: Effective Messaging on Global Education
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
This session will share lessons from Women Thrive’s three years of advocacy towards the United Nations for a strong sustainable development goal on equitable learning on how to create and share effective advocacy messages for global education and gender equality.
Using examples from national and global advocacy, participants will understand the importance of impactful, evidence-based messages, and be shown why grounding messages in the priorities, realities, and solutions of women and girls living in poverty can have maximum relevance and impact.
Participants will learn how to use evidence to craft quality messages, target those messages to particular audiences, and successfully engage with media and decision-makers to ensure that those messages are heard and heeded.
