Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum): In order to better prepare today's students for the digital world of tomorrow, education has to take a sharp turn towards a greater emphasis on the blended and virtual environments for teaching and learning. Online education instituations across the country are successfully meeting the educational needs of students everyday. At the same time, many traditional schools are still presenting materials in essentailly the same way it was presented 100 years ago. This session will focus on uncovering the different options for administrators and educators looking to re-architect their schools to become the modern, effective learning environments that will best serve the needs of their students. From blended learning to flipped classrooms to online courses, this session will explain the differences and advantages of each option and provide some guidance on how to get started.

The conference seeks to present ideas, examples and initiatives related to connecting educators and classrooms around the world with an emphasis on promoting global awareness and instilling global competency in students. This is not a general education conference nor a technology conference.
